Privacy Keeper is a desktop application by Streetview Technology Jan Mantkowski ("panohopper," "we," "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our software and website.
2. The Software — Privacy Keeper
Privacy Keeper runs entirely on your local computer. Your images never leave your device. The software does not:
- Upload your images or any derivative data to any server
- Collect usage analytics or telemetry of any kind
- Require or create any user account
- Access the internet for its core functionality
License verification (for paid versions) requires a one-time online activation. After activation, the software operates fully offline.
3. The Website — panohopper.com
Our website at panohopper.com uses standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for operational purposes.
With your explicit consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Cookies and any data transmission to Google occur only after you click "Accept" on our consent banner. Until then, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent.
When enabled, Google Analytics processes:
- An anonymized IP address (IP anonymization is enforced via
anonymize_ip) - Pages viewed, referrer, approximate location (country/region), device type, and browser
- A randomly generated client identifier stored in the
_gacookie (valid up to 2 years)
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and §25(1) TTDSG. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser, which will re-display the consent banner on your next visit. Google Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Aside from Google Analytics, we do not use other tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or third-party data processors on our website.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and object to processing of your personal data.
