Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Overview
Privacy Keeper is a desktop application by Streetview Technology Jan Mantkowski ("panohopper," "we," "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our software and website.
2. The Software — Privacy Keeper
Privacy Keeper processes images entirely on your local computer. Processing does not upload your images. The software does not:
- Upload images or derivative data as part of detection, blurring, review, or export
- Collect usage analytics or telemetry of any kind
- Access the internet for its core functionality
An account and internet connection are required for sign-in, activation, license renewal, updates, and optional support tickets. Image processing itself remains offline.
3. Support Tickets
When you explicitly open an in-app support ticket, Privacy Keeper shows the files that will be attached before submission. For a processing issue this can include one selected input/output image pair, workflow.json, non-image files in the output folder, and files from its log folder. Large non-image files are reduced to their first and last 200 lines.
The ticket is linked to your account and license records so support staff can identify the customer and license status. Support bundles are stored privately with encryption at rest and are automatically deleted after 30 days. They are accessible only to authorised support staff.
4. The Website — panohopper.com
Our website at panohopper.com uses standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for operational purposes.
Tag management on our website is handled by Google Tag Manager, which loads the service listed below. Google Tag Manager itself sets no analytics or advertising cookies; the service it loads is activated only after you click "Accept" on our consent banner. Until then, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent.
With your explicit consent, we use:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures how visitors use the site: pages viewed, referrer, approximate location (country/region), device type, and browser. GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses. A randomly generated client identifier is stored in the
_gacookie (valid up to 2 years).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and §25(1) TTDSG. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser, which will re-display the consent banner on your next visit. Google Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
